3.0.2 Pre WOTLK Spec List - PVP

Here is a few specs that i have found for most classes, I wasted a few hours trying to figure out what too spec, so this saves a bit of time.

Initially on my hunter wikd i specced 51BM and the rest marks, couldn't resist trying out the new BM pets. Now i have too many 65 pets to get to 70, and even though its faster to level them these days, its still kind of annoying and time consuming. And yes the gorilla is a crazy tank even at 65 he could hold aggro on 5 ~65 level mobs in netherstorm, i hadn't specced the aoe dmg reduction though so as soon as the fire breath came out the health dipped quickly, but with that specced. The thing would be unstoppable. My heal pet was ticking for 700 and something. Too ez ;)

Tried a shadow spec on my priest, was a bit of a fail really. But i didnt try it for long. Same old shadow priest assist train action = dead in 5 seconds.

Survival and a Hyena is spost to be great for PVP, i think im going to try a hyena tonight. I already have a 70 bat, and the stun is awesome as its a ranged attack, but i think the tendon rip from a hyena may be even more useful for kiting action.

Sexy new Login Screen with WOW patch 3.0.2

And now i just have to wait another day to try and pick a new spec (and a class).

Still running a full repair on my wow directory to clear out all the old mods and ill start fresh with this patch even though it will be a lot of stuffing around to get it all setup again. Esp now that all macros and keybindings are now going to be stored server side. Guess that makes it easier to swap PC's now. Not sure how well this going to play with AGUnitframes and Bartender, guess i may have to live without them for a while.

Hmm... just got this error when running a repair... Oh well guess i wont do a full cleanout after all, yet. May have to wait til i get the wotlk DVD really cant be bothered getting out all those annoying CD's again. Plus i think they would be about 5 gig behind in patches.

    OMG Its Mini Warcraft!

If that doesent work, have a look here.

Still not sure what to level first when wotlk comes out.

I guess its still too early too tell whats gonna be op, etc. Found this massive thread on hunters and wotlk at elitest jerks. But i guess there all just comparing to different beta builds and there gonna change a lot of crap before release anyway. BRK looks like hes having fun still with the hunter, lovin the aoe dmg.

Playing the druid would probably be the smart class to level first. But, hunter is pretty fun to play. Even if we will get wiped on the floor by mages and retadins, ah well least we get out fluffy pets with there own talent trees. I wonder if they can do the leveling for us? :P

Dont know if i can be bothered leveling my druid. Its kinda fun but still got 58-70 to go and then gear all over again. Sounds like a chore...
Almost time to clean out the WOW Directory.

Think ill need to do a full re-install, may as well wait til wotlk hits i spose.

No more taming Polar Bear Cubs.

It would have been a classic pet! :)

"Polar Bear Cub -- This wasn't intended to be a tamable pet, and it looked ridiculous."

Also on the Pet leveling front:
    Pet leveling changes
We just recently increased the pet level rate. Pets needed 1/16th of hunter experience to gain a level, but don't benefit from quests or rest. Those two account for a lot of experience, especially at higher levels (where quest content tends to be denser).

We changed the experience needed for 1/10th. You should notice a big jump in pet level rates. I am not sure if that change got in the most recent data push. (Source)

End of season 4 is almost here.

That seemed like a very short season! They recon that It will end on the 14th October, and the new content (massive) patch will be out at the same time. So no more Greens vs S4 gear matches, supposedly.

    Quote from: Nethaera (Source)
"We’re currently planning to end the fourth Arena season on October 14, 2008, and as always -- this date could easily change. This Arena Season is only ending in respect to the ladder, meaning we'll be taking a snapshot of the season's ladder and then go through our normal process to determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards. This process should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for the arena-specific title and/or Armored Nether Drake to refrain from transferring their character to another realm between the date outlined above, and when the end-of-season rewards are physically awarded.

Upon the end of this Arena Season, teams and ratings will not be wiped, and will carry forward allowing players to earn points each week and purchase gear until the launch of the expansion (November 13, 2008)."

The problem with that is that all the new talent tree's will be released and we will still be 10 points short of filling them in. So people will get a small preview of what the new skills are going to be, but will not really be able to use them to their full extent until Level 80. Guess we cant have it all at once

    Spirit Beasts!

Well hunters may not be getting much in the way of skillz... Kinda. But least we get "Spirit Beasts" :)

Looks like a cat, but with glowing bits...

    Mmm.. Glowy.

    No More Honor Reset! /yay

    Quote from: Bornakk (Source)

"We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn’t something we’ve done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts. "

Pitty i already spent all mine, Dam it! Argh... Oh well i spose that the items will be good for another, 3 levels or so. /yay.

Also Blizzard have released yet more Class Changes in WotLK Beta - Build 9014.

    MMO Champion - Class Changes

    A few cool hunter changes:

  • Aimed shot mana cost reduced from 11% of base mana to 8%. Casting time changed from 2.5 sec to instant. Cooldown increased from 6 seconds to 10 seconds. Damage reduced to about 25% of the old value. (Lowered from 1570 to 408 for Rank 9)
  • *New Spell* - Fires a Black Arrow at the target, slowing the target's movement speed by 70%. While the movement speed effect holds, the damage done by your ranged shots are increased by 15% on the target. Lasts for 6 sec. (6% of base mana, 5-35 yd range, Instant cast, 12 sec cooldown)
  •
